Arterial Ulcers
Arterial ulcers, also referred to as ischemic ulcers, are caused by poor perfusion (delivery of nutrient-rich blood) to the lower extremities.

Venous Stasis Ulcers
Venous stasis ulcers are ulcers that form on the lower leg as a result of damaged or abnormal veins. These veins become damaged due to injury, blood clots, obesity, or aging. The ulcer starts out as a rash that develops into an open wound and requires wound care, compression, and elevation.
