Arterial Ulcers

Arterial ulcers, also referred to as ischemic ulcers, are caused by poor perfusion (delivery of nutrient-rich blood) to the lower extremities.

Osteomyelitis

Osteomyelitis is an infection of the bone. Bone infections can occur when bacteria travel to the bone through the bloodstream or from nearby tissue or when the bone is exposed to the air due to surgery or a fracture. The most common symptoms of osteomyelitis include inflammation and swelling at the site of the infection, pain, fever, and chills.

Osteoradionecrosis

Osteoradionecrosis is a condition in which the bone dies due to radiation exposure that damages the blood vessels in the bone. It is a rare side effect from radiation treatments for cancer that most commonly affects the lower jaw.

Venous stasis ulcers are ulcers that form on the lower leg as a result of damaged or abnormal veins. These veins become damaged due to injury, blood clots, obesity, or aging. The ulcer starts out as a rash that develops into an open wound and requires wound care, compression, and elevation.
