Behavioral health and psychiatry services in Sacramento, CA

We believe in understanding and caring for the whole person. This is why Dignity Health Medical Foundation physicians look at the mind, body, and spirit connection, especially when it comes to behavioral health. This practice refers to the connection of behaviors between health and well-being.

Over the past few years, behavioral health has developed to include behaviors like eating habits, drinking, and mental health. Behavioral and mental health have begun to be used interchangeably. However, there is a difference between them: behavioral looks at both physical and mental concerns.

The Mental Health Parity Act (A.B. 88) provides for expanded mental health coverage for patients with some serious mental illnesses. Mercy Medical Group's skilled, objective professionals can provide compassionate and confidential counseling or psychiatric care when needed. The staff will work with you and your Mercy Medical Group Primary Care Physician to ensure that both your emotional and physical health needs are addressed. We provide counseling and psychiatry services to individuals, families, adolescents and children. We also offer a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
