Conditions We Treat
of

Coughs, Colds, and Flu
The common cold, including chest cold and head cold, and seasonal influenza are caused by viruses. Over-the-counter cold medications are most commonly taken to relieve symptoms including sore throat, runny nose, congestion, and cough, and are usually effective. In some cases, however, prescription medication and/or hospitalization may be required.

Minor Cuts
Minor cuts are any cuts that only penetrate the top layers of skin. Wash your hands with soap and water, then put pressure on the cut to stop the bleeding and treat the cut by cleaning it, applying an antibiotic cream or ointment, and covering it with a bandage. Watch for signs of infection.

Skin Infections
There are many different types of skin infections that can be caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Examples of skin infections include warts, herpes simplex, leprosy, impetigo, cellulitis, scabies, and ringworm.

Small Area Minor Burns or Extreme Sunburns
Small area minor burns and extreme sunburns, also known as first degree burns, are burns that affect the top layer of skin. These burns are the least severe and can often be treated at home with the use of cold compresses and soothing products, such as aloe vera, honey, and antibiotic lotions.

Sprains
Sprains are common injuries, particularly in athletes and other physically active people. A sprain occurs when the ligaments that hold the bones together at a joint become overstretched or torn.
